It's been a little over 6 months since my micro-discectomy + stem cell surgery with Dr. Melikian. The surgery with Dr. M was the best decision I have made. I was in extreme pain with L5-S1 herniation + sciatica, to the point where I couldn't sit, stand or walk much. I saw a few doctors for consultations and Dr. Melikian was by far the gentlest, most patient, and straightforward. He took his time with me and did an amazing job explaining everything, answering questions, and ultimately, on surgery day, making it all seem easy. I haven't looked back. Great doctor!

I recently had lower back surgery performed by Dr. Melikian and I am beyond grateful for the incredible care and skill him and his team demonstrated. Dr Rojeh is the kind of surgeon you dream about, but don’t think exists in real life. Oh yes, he does. In all corridors of hospitals they whisper about how incredible he is, say his name and some doctor will know about him, adding something about his stellar reputation among doctors.So how do I summarize the perfect surgeon in a few lines? It’s hard, I try. He will deliberate surgery with you, based on your symptoms and scans. He will listen carefully to you, he is conservative, and to him, surgery is only one of many options. He will advise you as though you were a family member, and surgery is not always his advise (I have family members see him too). He doesn’t want surgery for his patients, he wants what’s best for them.He has moved mountains for me to get me into surgery when it was clear it was necessary. He got me into surgery within 2 days - calls my cell to see how I am - visited the hospital I was in even though it wasn’t in his already packed schedule. His beside manner is impeccable - he is a caring doctor who will take time with you. Best thing? His surgical skills are unparalleled. This is my second surgery with him, I cannot have asked for better outcomes.I write this review because I know spine surgery is very scary and it’s so hard to know who to trust, I attached a photo to show I am a real person and that I sincerely recommend Dr R. I recently had my first surgery, a C6-C7 artificial disc replacement, performed by Dr. Melikian, and I couldn't be more grateful for the care I received. I had put off this surgery for as long as I could manage due to nerves, but Dr. Melikian's exceptional personality and extensive knowledge made all the difference.From the moment I arrived at the surgery center, I was impressed by its cleanliness and luxurious atmosphere. I even had my own dedicated restroom, which added a level of comfort and privacy that I greatly appreciated. The entire staff, from the front desk to the nurses and the anesthesiologist, treated me like a family member that was undergoing surgery (wow!). Their warmth and dedication were palpable and truly helped to calm my nerves.One detail that stood out was their attention to my cold sensitivity. Without me even having to ask, they ensured the operating table was warmed within appropriate guidelines (of course!) and ready for me, which made a significant difference in my comfort given the typically cold environment of an operating room. This kind of thoughtful care is a rarity.Additionally, a staff member who wasn't part of my dedicated team checked in on me to ensure I was comfortable, which was a lovely touch. I am so grateful to Dr. Melikian and his amazing team for taking the absolute best care of me. I’ve been experiencing crippling back pain due to my 3-level herniated disc issues. Dr. Melikian not only offered me the most options treatment wise, but he listened to me. He let me tell him my whole 15+ year experience with this, and laid all my options out on the table. I saw 7 surgeons in total since 2010. And I am so incredibly grateful that I found Dr. Melikian, and that he was able to treat my conditions. Honesty is something I highly admire in a surgeon.
